New Frameworks Mic Boom Stays Low, Keeps Creators and Streamers In Frame

Gator Frameworks has released the Low-Profile Broadcast Boom, a desktop microphone boom arm designed for content creators who need maximum flexibility and minimal visual obstruction on camera.

The boom’s low-profile shape remains below the shoulder line, keeping the user’s face fully visible during live recordings and streams. It conveniently mounts to desks using either the included clamp – compatible with surfaces up to 2.17” thick – or the thru-desk option for more permanent installations.

Engineered for flexible mic placement, the boom features 360-degree rotation, 90-degree vertical articulation, and an extendable reach of up to 33”. Smooth, silent movement allows for precise adjustment without disruption, making it well-suited for podcasting, streaming, and voiceover work.

The included threaded adapter ensures compatibility with a wide range of microphones, including models with larger yokes such as the Shure SM7 and MV7 series. The design also accommodates both U.S. and Euro-style mic clips.

To maintain a clean workspace, the boom includes an integrated magnetic cable management system that conceals and secures XLR or USB cables along the arm.
