Gator’s New Performing Arts Chair Puts Posture and Utility Into Practice

Gator Frameworks has expanded its Recital Series with a new Performing Arts Chair, marking a shift from the instrument stands that have defined the series to date. Designed specifically for band and orchestra musicians, the chair offers long-term comfort, posture support, and durability for use in rehearsal rooms, performance halls and school music programs.

The Recital Series Performing Arts Chair features a 97-degree “band-pitch style” seat-to-backrest angle that encourages upright posture and optimal airflow, supporting breath control during long playing sessions. A rear-mounted storage compartment keeps sheet music and essential materials close at hand, helping musicians stay organized.

Built to withstand the demands of daily use, the Performing Arts Chair features a 7/8-inch, 16-gauge square steel frame and a 14-gauge rear seat brace for added stability. Integrated bumpers help preserve the powder-coated finish when chairs are stacked, and a recommended stacking capacity of up to 18 allows for efficient storage on standard carts.

The Performing Arts Chair includes polyethylene glides that help protect floors from scratches. Its compact footprint and durable construction make it a practical addition to classrooms, rehearsal spaces and performance venues of all sizes.
