Gator Turns Mixer Case into Mobile Workstation for Audio Engineers

Gator Cases has rolled out the GTOUR-MIXER-12U-2D2T, a flight case outfitted with a rack system, dual drawers and foldout tables, creating a mobile workspace for engineers and working professionals on the road.

Constructed from 12mm plywood with a laminated exterior, the case is built for durability in demanding environments. Commercial-grade plated hardware and reinforced ball corners add protection during transport, while the shock-mounted 12U front and rear rack rails offer adjustable rack depth up to eight inches, providing custom-depth rack mounting options. Two integrated drawers provide secure storage for items such as cables, adapters, DI boxes and wireless accessories, keeping critical tools organized and within reach.

Foldable front and rear covers convert into sturdy side tables, giving users a stable workspace for laptops, outboard gear or other essentials during setup and performance. Foam pads are included to accommodate various mixers for a snug, customizable fit.

The case rolls on four heavy-duty casters, two of which lock to hold it steady during setup. It measures 36 x 33.5 x 41.5 inches and weighs 213 pounds, offering substantial capacity in a manageable form. Recessed twist latches and spring-loaded rubber handles add security and ease during transport.
