Gator has introduced the GTSA-YAMEAD10 Frequent Flyer TSA Series Case, a molded case built specifically for the Yamaha EAD10 drum module and mic pickup system. The design provides a dedicated housing for the module and its components in a category where custom case options for the EAD10 have been limited.
The case features an EVA-foam interior with a tricot lining shaped to hold the EAD10 module, mic pickup, power adapter and related accessories, while convolute foam in the lid provides additional cushioning during transport. The main module cavity measures 10.3β x 5.3β (26.2 x 13.5 cm), with additional compartments measuring 10.3β x 3.0β x 4.0β (26.2 x 7.6 x 10.2 cm) and 5.0β x 3.5β x 4.0β (12.7 x 8.9 x 10.2 cm) (L x W x H). The layout is intended to limit shifting in transit while keeping cables and other essentials in separate sections.
The exterior is constructed of molded ABS, providing a rigid structure that helps shield the EAD10 system from impact during transport. Black valences and quick-release draw latches allow straightforward access, while a TSA-accepted locking latch with key supports use during air travel. The entire shell measures 17.75β x 13.50β x 6.75β (45.1 x 34.3 x 17.1 cm) (L x W x H) and includes side and bottom feet to steady the unit when set down.
Designed to keep the EAD10 protected across the settings where drummers rely on it most, the GTSA-YAMEAD10 joins Gatorβs wider range of molded TSA solutions for instruments and pro audio equipment.
