Gator’s distribution center packs and ships a lot of boxes everyday, so it pays to be smart about cardboard! At Gator’s Columbia City, Indiana distribution center we invested in a PackSize machine that converts roll corrugated cardboard into finished shipping cartons. Our staff can use this machine to make any box sizes ranging from 2” x 2” x 2”, up to 80” x 45” x 45”! This allows us to tailor our carton size to perfectly match the contents and minimize shipping costs and the environmental impact of transportation.
Additionally, Gator’s cardboard cartons are 7% Pre-Consumer Waste, 32% Post-Consumer Waste, for a total of 38% Total Recycled Content! If there is any leftover cardboard waste at the end of box making, we have a machine that converts this to dunnage or void fill material, so nothing goes to waste!
Finally, all Gator’s custom cartons and void-fill produced at our distribution center are curbside recyclable!
